Welcome
I have created this website to offer prospective clients some assistance with finding the therapist that is right for them. My aim is to answer some of the questions you may have about counselling and psychotherapy, and to give you some sense of who I am and how I work. If, after looking through this website you would like to know more, you are welcome to contact me for an informal chat for which there would be no charge.
I am an experienced counsellor with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling from Middlesex University. An integrative training means that I have studied a range of different theories upon which I can draw in the service of each individual client. My way of working is informed by philosophies which enquire into life's deeper questions, such as, "how do we make a life with meaning within the limits inherent in a human existence?" Counselling provides the opportunity to explore our lived experience, through a collaborative and supportive dialogue.
I started my counselling career many years ago with Norfolk & Waveney Mind, and maintain my status as a Mind Credentialled Counsellor within my successful private practice. I also have experience of counselling in not-for-profit and large corporate organisations. Prior to my training I worked for many years in the NHS and Health & Social Care Sectors. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by the BACP Ethical Framework. I consider myself to be a life-long learner, and undertake regular Continuing Professional Development training which keeps me up-to-date in my field. I have undertaken further training with the aim of making therapy more accessible for neurodivergent adults and I am a member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online.
